Customer complaint: BRAND: GE TYPE: Dryer ISSUE: It stopped turning on. It dried one load and wouldn't do the next. AGE 6 year 5934. Initial visit (Sep 24) — Matthew B: Reported concern The unit had an issue with the start button and control knob assembly. Work performed Found the knob sleeve on the shaft and removed it. Disassembled and repositioned the start button, then tested the start switch and unit operation. The unit checked OK after the adjustment and is operating normally at this time. Assessment Plastic pieces had fallen off during customer use. Although the start switch currently operates, the durability of the adjustment is uncertain because of the damaged plastic components. Next steps Monitor start-button operation. The start switch may need to be replaced if the issue returns or the button no longer operates reliably.
