Customer complaint: Leaking. Initial visit (Oct 8) — Matthew B: ### Reported concern The customer reported a water leak originating from the washing machine's water inlet valve. ### Work performed Identified the water inlet valve as the source of the leak and replaced it. After installation, the washing machine was tested and confirmed to be operating normally with no further leaks from the appliance. ### Assessment During the repair, the household cold-water shutoff valve at the wall was found to be defective. The wall valve fails to shut off completely and leaks when turned to the off position. This is a home plumbing issue and is not a fault within the washing machine itself. ### Next steps It is recommended that the customer contact a licensed plumber to replace the defective wall shutoff valve to ensure the water supply can be safely isolated in the event of an emergency. No further appliance repairs are required at this time. Parts installed: 5221ER1003S LG INLET VALVE ASSEMBLY. Outcome: Repaired.
