Persistent moisture on external surfaces can lead to dripping, potential water damage to surrounding area, or localized frost issues. Assessment An inspection of the water system confirmed that both the freezer and refrigerator drains are clear and unobstructed. The water tank was checked and showed no signs of leakage. The excessive moisture is accumulating due to degraded or defective cabinet insulation behind the rear wall, which allows temperature transfer and causes ambient moisture to condense on the cabinet exterior. Next steps Because internal cabinet insulation is a non-serviceable component, this structural failure cannot be repaired. System replacement is recommended.
